Coffee With Friends

Join us on the Second Wednesday of each month at Coffee with Friends - 3pm - 4:30pm

FREE Event for all senior ages 55+ at Cobb County Senior Wellness Center, 1150 Powder Springs Street SW in Marietta

Sponsored by Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill and Senior Resource Foundation of Cobb County

Come meet other seniors in a fun, casual setting. Join us for a cup of coffee and great conversation. We hope you gain a new friend! No cost to attend. Singles and couples are welcome. NO MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED TO ENTER THE FACILITY. Make Coffee with Friends a new monthly tradition!

December 2018 Events

24th Annual Luminary Service

You, your family and friends are cordially invited to join us for our annual Holiday Open House and Luminary Service on Saturday, December 1 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.. It's a beautiful tradition and touching way to remember and pay tribute to family members and friends who have passed on. A candle will be placed at every memorial at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in memory of your loved ones. We encourage you to bring a lighter to help us light the candles at 5 p.m. We are are delighted to have The Georgia Festival Ensemble, a 25-voice choir, present a Christmas Concert at 6 p.m. in our Columbarium (red brick building on the hill). Please stop by our Funeral Home to sign our guestbook and place a dove, in remembrance of your loved one, on our Remembrance Tree.

Complimentary refreshments and hot drinks will be served outside by the Columbariuam. Please call 770.424.1111 if you have any questions.

Grief Support Group

A Grief Support Group is held the Third Thursday of each month from 7pm – 8:30pm at the Columbarium on the Grounds of Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill. There is no cost to attend and adults aged 18+ are invited to participate. The group is lead by Christy Simpson, a Licensed Social Worker, with more than 20 years of experience in counseling and guiding individuals through grief issues. Anyone in the community that is struggling with grief over the loss of a loved one is invited to attend. No registration is required. For more information, call (770) 919-7100.
